PHILADELPHIA - Jameer Nelson scored 12 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and Nik Vucevic had 21 points and 13 rebounds to help the Orlando Magic snap a 16-game road losing streak with a 101-90 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. Nelson added 12 assists for the Magic, who last won on the road at Chicago on Dec. 16. Victor Oladipo added 17 points, and Maurice Harkless and Tobias Harris scored 13 apiece. Thaddeus Young had 19 points for the Sixers, who lost their 12th straight overall and 11th in a row at home. Tony Wroten scored 15 points, Eric Maynor 13 and Henry Sims 10 for Philadelphia, which bought out the contract of Danny Granger earlier Wednesday. The 76ers finished 0-11 in February. Philadelphia did manage to keep the margin closer against Orlando. The Sixers entered having given up an average of 117.4 points during the losing skid, and they had been beaten by an average of 20.3 points before Wednesday. The teams began the fourth quarter tied at 67, but the Magic used an 18-8 run over the first 3:52 of the final quarter to take their largest lead to that point, 85-75, with 8:08 remaining. Nelson scored 10 of Orlandos points during the spurt, including a pair of 3-pointers. Orlandos lead grew to as many as 13 points and the Sixers never recovered. Two 3-pointers from Hollis Thompson to start the second half helped Philadelphia take its largest lead to that point, 50-42, 50 seconds into the third quarter. But Orlando ran off 11 straight over the next 4:18 to go in front 53-50 with 6:52 left in the period. The Magics lead grew to as many as seven points, 65-58, with 3:05 left in the quarter on Harris free throws before Philadelphia closed the period by scoring nine of the final 11 points to enter the final quarter tied at 67. Philadelphia completed a buyout of the contract of Granger on Wednesday night, enabling the veteran forward to sign with any team if he clears waivers by 5 p.m. on Friday. Granger was acquired from the Indiana Pacers last Thursday for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen but never played a minute for Philadelphia. The 76ers also received a 2015 second-round draft pick in the deal. NOTES: Orlandos Arron Afflalo (right ankle sprain), who averages a team-leading 19.7 points per game, missed his third straight game. . The Magic entered Wednesday averaging 89.4 points during their road losing streak. . The Sixers are scheduled to retire Allen Iversons jersey during Saturdays game against Washington. . The Sixers home losing streak is the longest since they lost 12 straight in the 1996-97 season. Pedro Chirivella Jersey . James Jones got his turn Sunday. And the lift he brought, combined with the expected playoff showings from LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, have the Heat off and running in these playoffs. Joel Matip Jersey . Keenum will make his first appearance in a regular-season game against the rugged defence of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, where the fans just set a Guinness record as the noisiest outdoor stadium in the world. . Tristan Jackson returned a missed field goal 129 yards early in the fourth quarter as the Roughriders beat the B.C. James Milner Liverpool Jersey . Stepanek gave the Czech Republic its second straight Davis Cup title Sunday, sweeping past Dusan Lajovic in straight sets in the fifth and decisive match to secure a 3-2 win over Serbia in the final. Alberto Moreno Liverpool Jersey .com) - The Winnipeg Jets placed defenceman Paul Postma on injured reserve Tuesday.INDIANAPOLIS - Ryan Grigson is putting the ball squarely in the NFLs court. The Colts general manager has gone silent on the hottest topic in the NFL ahead of next weeks Super Bowl: whether the New England Patriots intentionally deflated footballs in Sundays 45-7 victory over Indianapolis that gave them the AFC championship and a trip to Arizona to face Seattle.Everything, Im sure is going to come out in the investigation, guys. Like I said, its not appropriate for me to talk about. I cant do that, Grigson said Friday when asked if the Colts notified the league about a potential deflation problem. Its in the leagues hands. Im sorry.Grigson spoke shortly before the NFL said that evidence shows the Patriots used underinflated footballs during the first half of the game. The league said it wants to find out whether deliberate action was to blame, but provided no timetable for doing so.Underinflated balls in theory could provide an advantage because they would be easier to throw and catch. Under league rules, each team provides balls for use on offence. The balls used by the Patriots were properly inflated for the second half and remained properly inflated after the game, the NFL said. There have been various reports as to how league officials became aware of the situation and whether Indianapolis tipped them off. Nobody in the Colts organization has confirmed those details.Last week, Indianapolis coach Chuck Pagano said he had spoken to the Ravens staff and NFL officiating chief Dean Blandino about the unusual formation New England used during a divisional-round win over Baltimore. Pagano had worked on John Harbaughs staff in Baltimore before taking the Colts job early in 2012.On Monday, Pagano also acknowledged he had spoken with the refs before kickoff against New England, though he did not say whether the air pressure in the footballs came up during the discussion.New England coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have said they didnt know what happened and that they were waiting for the league to complete its investigation. Apparently, so is everyone else.Colts linebackeer DQwell Jackson told reporters Thursday at the Pro Bowl that he gave the ball he intercepted to an equipment manager and that he noticed no difference than other game balls.dddddddddddd. Jackson said he still hasnt gotten the ball back. And Grigson wanted nothing to do with the story. Before we get started, let me cut you off at the pass. Its obviously, like Ive told all you guys, its in the leagues hands, he said as he began the annual post-season news conference. Thats where were at right now.Grigson did shed some light on other topics, though. He confirmed that running back Trent Richardson, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, had been suspended two games for personal reasons. Richardson was inactive for the divisional-round win at Denver and last weekends loss against the Patriots. Grigson did not provide further details. As for possible retirements, Grigson said the Colts are not pushing receiver Reggie Wayne or defensive end Cory Redding to make quick decisions and suggested both could still be valuable players next season if they come back.Grigson also said that while the Colts do intend to offer a new contract to Andrew Luck, re-signing the Pro Bowl quarterback is not the top priority this off-season. Lucks original deal runs through 2015, and its a foregone conclusion that the Colts will exercise the fifth-year option to keep him in Indy through at least 2016.So what is Indys biggest off-season priority?Finding a way to get past their biggest nemesis, the Patriots. New England has not only beaten Luck four straight times and eliminated the Colts each of the past two seasons, theyve also rushed for 657 yards and 13 touchdowns in the last three games.I think the (Chicago) Bulls were at that point one time before they started their run. You know, they had to learn to beat the Pistons, the Bad Boys, Grigson said. I think thats where were at. I think we have to figure out, be able to pinpoint those areas because sometimes its not just what you think. Its more than meets the eye.___Online:AP NFL website: and ' ' '
